FAQ

QUESTION: What kind of space do I need for an in-home massage?
ANSWER: For an in-home massage, you will need a space to accommodate a massage table that is 73″ long and 23″ wide, along with a couple feet on each side for me to work. I will also need an outlet nearby and a sink available.

QUESTION: How much time should I plan for my service?
ANSWER: Please plan for the full service amount, and an additional 15 minutes for set up and 15 minutes for take down. If you are a brand new client, please plan to fill out a health history form while I set everything up. If doing back to back massages, please plan for 5 minutes in between sessions.

QUESTION: What should I do to prepare for my massage?
ANSWER: Before your massage, please drink plenty of water, and make sure you don’t plan anything strenuous for at least an hour or two afterwards. We will discuss how you are feeling that day, if any new health issues arose between now and the time of your last appointment, and any specific areas you are experiencing pain or would like to address during the session.

QUESTION: What can I expect during my massage?
ANSWER: While I always encourage you to deeply relax during your massage, communication with me throughout is very important to keep me aware of how you’re doing so that you can get the most out of your massage session. I will check in with you periodically. However, if anything at all comes up during the session – if you are experiencing any physical or emotional discomfort, pain that is intolerable/not a “good hurt”, would like a change in the amount of pressure you are receiving, or would like me to focus more on a particular area – do not hesitate to let me know and I will adjust your session accordingly. Some people enjoy talking during their massage, but others just want to deeply relax without the conversation. Either is perfectly fine, and if I can tell you just want to relax and unwind, I will make sure you do just that!

QUESTION: What should I do after my massage?
ANSWER: After your massage, please be sure to rest and drink plenty of water to help your muscles rehydrate and your body to flush out toxins. Also, please do any self care that I recommend between now and the time of your next massage. This will help you get the most benefit out of your massage sessions and see faster improvements in your body. Invest in your health and your body will take care of you!

I so look forward to seeing you, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have further questions!
